The Dash unveiled their 2014 kits on February 7 – the home jersey is orange, the away jersey blue with a training top in white. Unlike the previous top-tier women’s leagues in the US, the NWSL has made jerseys available in men’s sizes along with women’s and youth sizes.
The home and away jerseys are due to arrive at Soccer 4 All by early April. The locally-owned chain is offering a free Dynamo mini-ball for each pre-order placed for a Dash jersey. Soccer 4 All will not be stocking the white training jerseys (available only in women’s cut, FYI), but will carry Dash tees in women’s, men’s and youth sizes.
Note that Soccer4All.com is the only website to offer the Dash jerseys so far — NWSLshop.com has been fairly slow to add merchandise and the Dynamo/Dash do not have an online store.
It’s also important for fans to be aware that the Dynamo adidas team store will *not* be able to sell Dash jerseys (or shorts or training tops) since those are Nike products, although the store *will* carry non-Nike-branded Dash tees and similar items. At the stadium, Dash jerseys will only be available at the merchandise stands on the concourse on gamedays.
Bottom line, there are two only places you can get Dash jerseys — Soccer 4 All (online or at any of the seven stores) or on the BBVA Compass Stadium concourse on Dash (and potentially Dynamo) gamedays (ticket required).
Soccer 4 All will be able to order the official NWSL lettering & numbers for any name/number combo (price likely $25). No word yet if stadium will offer customization options.
The Dynamo kicked off 2013 with new home and away kits; this season will see the introduction of a new away kit. The jersey comes in authentic, authentic long-sleeve and replica styles.
The home jersey will not change for 2014. There are no plans for a third jersey at this time, and no official announcement yet for a jersey sponsor.
The US men will wear their new home kits on Wednesday, March 5 in the match against Ukraine. This is the rumored-and-likely-actual design of the jersey. Soccer 4 All is accepting pre-orders now (in-store only). The jersey will be available in men’s (authentic and replica), women’s, youth and infant sizes.
Official US lettering & numbers can be ordered in for any name/number for $36-$40.
Keeper’s tip: If you pre-order a customized jersey from soccer.com or similar, be aware that you won’t be able to return it! Best bet is to check that the size is right (authentic and replica sizing are often different) and then add customization later.
