Group B of Olympic Qualifying got underway at BBVA Compass Stadium Thursday night with a pivotal match between Trinidad & Tobago and Guatemala, followed by Canada vs Guyana.

In the early match, Trinidad & Tobago fought back from down a goal after a questionable penalty to secure a 2-1 victory. Canada had less difficulty, easily dispatching Guyana 5-0.

Segment Three – Guyana Press Conference

The Guyana press conference included head coach Mark Rodrigues and captain Ashley Rodrigues.

Segment Four – Canada Press Conference

Canada Head Coach John Herdman and hat trick hero Ashley Lawrence spoke to the media in the press conference.

Segment Five – Guyana GK Chante Sandiford

Jen Cooper interviews Chante Sandiford who played for United States Head Coach Jill Ellis at UCLA.

Segment Six – Canada right back Josée Belanger

Newly allocated to Orlando Pride Josée Belanger, who typically plays up front but has been moved to right back, talks to Hal Kaiser about that role and the overall performance.

Segment Seven – Deanne Rose

An ecstatic 16-year old Deanne Rose speaks to the media about getting her first international goal. Laura Armstrong of the Toronto Star and Corey Roepken of the Houston Chronicle asked the questions.
